If you played violin as a child and would like to take it up again.... Or never played but always wanted to..... Go for it! It's never too late to learn or to have fun!

I've got a classical background and have been a professional performer for over 20 years in mainly celtic and country folk styles.... I can teach you to read, which is a useful tool for finding tunes and a great aid in communicating with other musicians. However if you want to really "fiddle" ... you must use your ears, and not be tied to the printed page... after all this "folk music" has been handed down for hundreds of year in an aural tradition.. ....... I use ear training and reading both. I also work intensively with tone production and intonation.
